Registry retirement records contain buyer names and transaction volumes, but extracting meaningful intelligence from thousands of transactions across multiple registries requires significant data processing. Questions like "Which companies buy REDD+ credits from Southeast Asia?" or "Who increased their purchasing in the last 60 days?" are simple to ask but impossible to answer without a unified analytical layer.

Transaction Data Aggregation

Every retirement transaction across all 6 supported registries is collected and harmonized into a unified dataset. Buyer names are normalized (handling spelling variations, subsidiaries, and name changes) to create a single profile per organization.

Portfolio Analysis

For each buyer, the system calculates portfolio composition: credit categories (REDD+, renewable energy, cookstoves, etc.), registries, geographies, vintage preferences, and methodology types. This reveals buying patterns — for example, a company that exclusively buys post-2020 Nature-Based Solution credits from Gold Standard.

Activity Classification

Buyers are classified by recency: Active (transaction within 60 days), Recently Active (within 12 months), or Inactive (no transactions in 12+ months). Activity trends are tracked — whether a buyer is accelerating, maintaining, or decelerating their purchasing.

AI-Powered Lead Generation

For Pro users, the platform uses AI to surface decision-maker profiles: sustainability heads, procurement leads, and ESG officers at buyer organizations. The system identifies LinkedIn profiles, suggests pitch angles based on the buyer's historical preferences, and provides contact recommendations tailored to the buyer's portfolio.

Data Pipeline

Retirement transactions are processed daily as part of the main data pipeline (04:00-07:00 UTC). Buyer profiles are recomputed as new transactions are recorded, ensuring real-time accuracy.

Name Normalization

Buyer names across registries are normalized using fuzzy matching and manual curation to handle spelling variations, subsidiary relationships, and corporate name changes. "Microsoft Corporation", "Microsoft Corp", and "Microsoft" resolve to a single buyer profile.

Lead Generation AI

AI enrichment uses web search to identify decision-makers at buyer organizations. The system searches for sustainability, procurement, and ESG roles, cross-referencing with LinkedIn and company websites to surface relevant contacts.
